Overview

Accommodation Varieties

Accommodation varieties consist of legal classifications based on the Inn Business Act and general classifications by business type and service content. In Japan, there are three legal categories: hotel and ryokan business, simple lodging business, and boarding house business, each offering different features and services. In recent years, new forms of accommodation such as minpaku (private lodging) and glamping have emerged, leading to increasing diversification.
