Climate Change Impacts - TSV

Climate change impacts are various environmental, social, and economic effects resulting from global warming caused by human activities and greenhouse gas emissions. Based on the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) assessment reports, these impacts include sea level rise, intensification of extreme weather, biodiversity loss, water resource impacts, agricultural and food production impacts, and health effects. These impacts are already being observed worldwide and are expected to worsen further in the future.

code	slug	name	description	category
01	sea-level-rise	Sea Level Rise	The phenomenon of rising sea levels due to ocean warming and ice sheet melting.	Physical Impact
02	extreme-weather	Extreme Weather Intensification	Extreme weather events such as heat waves, heavy rain, droughts, and typhoons become more frequent and intense.	Physical Impact
03	biodiversity-loss	Biodiversity Loss	Climate change causes ecosystem collapse and increases species extinction risk.	Ecosystem Impact
04	water-resources	Water Resources Impact	Decreased available water and changes in water supply from glacier melting occur.	Resource Impact
05	agriculture-food	Agriculture and Food Impact	Food security is threatened by reduced crop production and changes in fishery resources.	Economic and Social Impact
06	health-impacts	Health Impacts	Health damage from heat waves, spread of infectious diseases, and air pollution deaths increase.	Health Impact
07	ocean-acidification	Ocean Acidification	Oceans absorb atmospheric CO2, causing seawater acidification that affects marine ecosystems.	Ecosystem Impact
08	economic-losses	Economic Losses	Causes major economic losses including infrastructure damage, insurance premium increases, and rising disaster costs.	Economic and Social Impact
09	human-displacement	Human Displacement and Climate Refugees	Sea level rise and extreme weather force people to leave their homes due to climate change.	Social Impact
10	arctic-ice-loss	Arctic Sea Ice Loss	Rising temperatures in the Arctic cause rapid sea ice reduction, affecting ecosystems and climate patterns.	Physical Impact
