Overview

Environmental NGOs and NPOs

Environmental NGOs and NPOs are non-governmental and non-profit organizations that work to protect the environment, conserve nature, maintain biodiversity, and address climate change. These organizations range from those with international networks to locally-based community groups, with various scales and areas of activity. While maintaining independence from corporations and governments, they contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through science-based activities, policy advocacy, awareness campaigns, and field conservation work.
