ISO 4217 Currency Codes - HTML
ISO 4217 is an international standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 1978, specifying three-letter alphabetic codes and three-digit numeric codes to represent currencies. The first two letters of the code are based on the country code defined in ISO 3166-1, and the third letter is the initial of the currency name. These codes are widely used in international banking transactions, exchange rate displays, and airline ticket pricing where clear currency identification is essential.
