Japanese Traditional Crafts - TSV
A list of traditional crafts designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry under the Traditional Craft Industries Promotion Act (Act No. 57 of 1974). These crafts are primarily for daily use, mainly handcrafted using traditional techniques and materials that have been historically used, and are produced in specific regional clusters. As of October 27, 2025, 244 items have been designated, classified into 15 industry categories including textiles, ceramics, lacquerware, and metalwork.
