Long-Term Care Insurance Services - TOML

Long-term care insurance services are public care services provided to elderly people and others who have been certified as requiring long-term care, based on the Long-Term Care Insurance Act enacted in 2000. These include various services such as home-visit services (home help, home-visit bathing care, home-visit nursing, etc.), day-care services (day service, day care, etc.), short-stay services, and welfare equipment loans. Benefit limits are set according to the user's care level, and services can be used with a 10% co-payment in principle. In 2025, revisions were made including the expansion of eligible welfare equipment and relaxation of requirements for additional payments for home-visit services.
