Track and Field Events - TSV
Track and field is a sport governed by World Athletics (formerly IAAF), consisting of track events (running), field events (jumping and throwing), combined events, and race walking/marathon. At the Olympics and World Athletics Championships, 49 events (24 men's, 24 women's, 1 mixed) are contested, competing in the fundamental human physical abilities of running, jumping, and throwing. In Japan, the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) governs domestic competitions.
