UN/LOCODE is an international standard code system managed by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), providing unique 5-character codes to identify locations involved in international trade and transport, including seaports, airports, rail terminals, road terminals, and postal facilities. It consists of a 2-letter ISO 3166-1 country code and a 3-character location code, covering over 100,000 locations in 249 countries and territories worldwide. It is widely used in international logistics, trade documentation, and customs procedures.
