Beer Varieties and Styles - TSV

Beer is broadly classified into two categories based on yeast fermentation method: Lagers (bottom-fermented) and Ales (top-fermented). Further variations have developed based on color, malt and hop usage, and origin, resulting in diverse styles such as Pilsner, IPA, Stout, and Porter. The Brewers Association Beer Style Guidelines categorize beers into three major categories: Ale Styles, Lager Styles, and Hybrid/Mixed Styles, each with subcategories based on geographic origin.
