Types of Greenhouse Gases - XML
Greenhouse gases are the collective term for gases that contribute to rising global temperatures. Carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and fluorinated gases (HFCs, PFCs, SF6, etc.) are known as the main types. Each gas is evaluated for its warming impact by the Global Warming Potential (GWP), and they differ in atmospheric lifetime and emission sources. In the International Framework for Climate Change, the IPCC has positioned the reduction of these gas emissions as an important issue.
