GRID (Global Research Identifier Database) - INI

GRID (Global Research Identifier Database) was an open database of unique research-related organization identifiers developed by Digital Science in 2015. Released under CC0 license, it contained over 100,000 records of research organizations worldwide. Public releases were discontinued in 2021, and leadership transitioned to ROR (Research Organization Registry). ROR classifies research organizations into 9 types: Education, Funder, Healthcare, Company, Archive, Nonprofit, Government, Facility, and Other.
