ISMN (International Standard Music Number) is an international standard code (ISO 10957) for identifying notated music publications worldwide. It consists of 13 digits that identify the country of origin, publisher, musical work, and edition. Used in over 90 countries with agencies in 65 countries, it is widely utilized by music publishers, music retailers, libraries, and composers for distribution management and cataloging of sheet music.
