十二支（じゅうにし）は、中国の伝統的な暦法における12の地支に対応する動物の体系です。子（ねずみ）、丑（うし）、寅（とら）、卯（うさぎ）、辰（たつ）、巳（へび）、午（うま）、未（ひつじ）、申（さる）、酉（とり）、戌（いぬ）、亥（いのしし）の12種類があり、それぞれが特定の性格特性や象徴的な意味を持ちます。12年周期で循環し、生まれた年の動物がその人の性格や運勢に影響を与えるとされています。日本を含む東アジア各国で広く親しまれており、新年の飾りや占いなどに活用されています。
