ケッペンの気候帯 - INI

ケッペンの気候区分は、ドイツの地理学者・気候学者ヴラディミール・ケッペン（Wladimir Köppen）が1900年代初頭に考案した気候区分法です。気温と降水量という2つの気候要素を基準に、植生との関連性を重視して世界を5大気候帯（A～E）に分類しています。熱帯、乾燥帯、温帯、冷帯（亜寒帯）、寒帯の5つに区分され、さらに細かい気候区に分けられることで、農業、生態学、気候学研究など広い分野で活用されています。
